Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The entire conversion happens in your browser, in a separate process (a Web Worker), and the images are built in your own device's memory. You can check for yourself: open your browser's developer tools on the Network tab and convert a PDF — no request ever carries your file.
What's the quality of the generated images?
Each page is rendered at 200 DPI, a resolution good for screen and home printing, then compressed as JPG. Quality isn't adjustable in this version of the tool.
How does the download work for multi-page PDFs?
A 1-page PDF downloads as a single .jpg file. With 2 or more pages, the download is a .zip with one image per page, numbered in document order.
What's the maximum file size?
150 MB and up to 300 pages per PDF. The conversion reads the whole document into the browser's memory; larger documents can be split into parts and converted separately.
Do I need to create an account, install anything, or pay?
No. The tool is free, requires no sign-up, installs nothing, and adds no watermark. Just an up-to-date browser.
