These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the website and tools available at pdfnativo.com (the "Service"), operated by PDF Nativo ("we", "us", "our"). PDF Nativo is the trade name under which the Service operates; formal incorporation is in progress — [LEGAL ENTITY NAME / TAX ID — TO BE FILLED once incorporated].

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

The Service offers free tools to manipulate PDF files directly in your browser — for example, compress, merge, convert between JPG and PDF, convert PDF to Word, delete pages, extract pages, and split PDF.

Core, technically verifiable characteristic of the Service: all processing of your files happens locally, on your own device, using browser technologies (WebAssembly/JavaScript). At no point is the content of the file you process sent, copied, or transmitted to our servers or to third-party servers. We do not upload your file. This is an architectural feature of the Service, not a marketing claim — the code that runs in your browser is auditable and has undergone independent security testing confirming the absence of network transmission during processing.

This guarantee covers the content of the files you process. It does not eliminate the technical data inherent to simply loading any web page (see our Privacy Policy for the distinction between browsing/infrastructure data and file data).

2. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older, or minors duly assisted or represented as required by law, to the extent that use of a file-manipulation tool without registration is appropriate. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and there is no registration flow in the Service at all.

3. Free of charge, no account required

The Service is offered free of charge and does not require creating an account, logging in, or providing personal data to use the tools. We may, in the future, introduce paid features or features requiring an account; if so, these Terms will be updated and the change will be communicated prominently before taking effect.

4. Permitted and prohibited use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. Among other things, it is prohibited to:

• use the Service to process files whose content is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or whose possession/distribution is prohibited by law;
• attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security mechanisms, technical limits (e.g., file size or page-count limits), or the normal operation of the Service;
• perform reverse engineering with intent to harm the Service or third parties (reverse engineering for security auditing purposes and to verify the privacy guarantee described in Section 1 is welcome and does not violate these Terms);
• use bots, scrapers, or automation that places a disproportionate load on the Service's infrastructure compared to normal individual use.

5. Responsibility for processed content

You are solely responsible for the files you choose to process through the Service, including ensuring you hold the necessary rights to that content. Because processing happens locally on your device, we have no access, visibility, or control over the content of the files you process, and therefore no ability to monitor, filter, or remove that content.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.

In particular:

• Tool output. We do not guarantee that conversion, compression, or any other operation will produce a perfect result, visually or structurally identical to the original file in every respect, or suitable for any specific purpose you intend for the resulting file. We recommend always reviewing the output file before using it for important purposes (e.g., sending to third parties, official submission, archiving).
• Availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser or device. As a product still in pre-launch stage, the Service may experience instability, changes, and temporary unavailability without prior notice.
• Local data loss. Because processing is local, failures of the browser, device, or connection during use may interrupt an operation. We recommend keeping a copy of the original file before processing it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and proportionally to the fact that this is a free service, requiring no registration, offered by a product still in an early stage, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use or inability to use the Service, except where limitation of liability is prohibited by applicable Brazilian law (e.g., willful misconduct or gross negligence).

This disclaimer does not affect, reduce, or contradict the technical guarantee described in Section 1 regarding the non-transmission of your files' content — that guarantee is a verifiable architectural feature, not a contractual clause subject to exception.

7. Intellectual property

The code, design, brand, texts, and other elements of the Service are owned by PDF Nativo or by third-party licensors, and are protected by applicable copyright and industrial property law. Parts of the Service use open-source libraries under their respective licenses (e.g., MIT, Apache 2.0), publicly available alongside the project repository, where applicable.

Use of the Service does not grant you any right over the Service's code, design, or brand, beyond the limited right to use the tools for lawful personal or professional purposes.

Your files. You retain all rights to the files you process. We claim no rights over the content of your files — consistent with the fact that we never have access to that content.

8. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms periodically; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the last-updated date shown at the top. Material changes will be communicated prominently within the Service when feasible.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms. Since there is no user account, such suspension is, in practice, carried out through technical access-blocking measures, where applicable.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of Americana/SP, Brazil are elected to settle any disputes arising from these Terms, with waiver of any other, however privileged, except for the consumer's domicile forum where required by law.
